Harvey Myerson, a New York attorney, appeals from two judgments entered against him after he was convicted by juries in two separate trials. Myerson was convicted on three counts of mail fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341, and on two counts of travel fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2314, for significantly overbilling his clients and fraudulently claiming that personal charges were legitimate business expenses. In a second trial, Myerson was convicted under a separate indictment of conspiracy to defraud the United States, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371; of making a false statement on his tax return, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7206(1); and of assisting in filing a false tax return for his law partnership, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7206(2).
